Nice package I shot about a day out with Football Reporter Mark Clemmit at the Football Association. Trevor Brooking bought me a cup of tea and we met Fabio Capello. Not bad for a couple of hours’ filming. The edit did end up taking me all of a day though. In the end I think it was worth it. See what you think…
Before Christmas I had the privilege to interview James Alexander Gordon, voice of the classified footballs scores for over 35 years on the BBC, first on Radio 2 and now Radio 5 live. A very charming man indeed, full of fantastic tales from his time in the music industry and broadcasting. Unfortunately I didn’t get most of the music business stuff on tape and my tape got lost before I could do the final edit, so the interview below is essentially the best bits I could round up from what I had available.
There’s a brief burst of me about 8:34 into this clip from the Sci-Fi channel. Friend of mine, Paul Aston invited me along. I gave one of my “throw everything at it” soundbite jobs and they seem to have found something usable from it. It sounds suspiciously like I was using my “populist” broadcasting voice, not my “serious news” one. Must stop doing that.
